This Privacy Policy describes how Customfly ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you install and use the Customfly app on your Shopify store. By installing the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Store & Merchant Information

When you install Customfly, we collect information provided by Shopify through the OAuth process, including:

• Your Shopify store domain (myshopify.com URL)
• Store name, email address, and contact details
• Shopify access token required to operate the app

Product & Order Data

To provide our core functionality, we access and store:

• Product information (titles, images, variants, handles) for products you configure in the app
• Order data for orders that contain customer design files
• Customer design submissions (uploaded images, text, and customization selections) attached to orders

App Configuration Data

We store the configuration you create within the app, including:

• Designer settings per product (canvas size, enabled tools, pricing rules)
• Assets you upload (fonts, images, shapes, galleries, color palettes)
• Design templates you create and save

Usage Data

We collect limited usage data to operate the billing system, including:

• Number of products configured
• Number of orders processed with custom designs per billing period
• Current subscription plan and billing status

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Customfly app and its features
• Display and process product customization requests from your customers
• Generate and deliver print-ready design files for orders
• Enforce plan limits and manage billing through Shopify's Billing API
• Send transactional communications related to your account or subscription
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain app stability

We do not sell your data or your customers' data to third parties.

3. Customer Data

When your store's customers use the Customfly designer, they may upload images and enter personal text (such as names or monograms) as part of the customization process. This data is:

• Stored securely and associated with the corresponding Shopify order
• Accessible to you (the merchant) through the app's order management interface
• Used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the customer's custom order
• Not shared with third parties except fulfillment integrations (Printful, Printify) when you explicitly connect and use those integrations

As a merchant using Customfly, you are responsible for maintaining a privacy policy on your own storefront that informs your customers how their data is handled.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Fulfillment integrations: If you connect Printful or Printify, design files and order details are shared with those services to fulfill your orders. Their respective privacy policies apply.
• Shopify: We operate as a Shopify app and exchange data with Shopify's APIs as required to function. Shopify's Privacy Policy governs their data handling.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Data Retention

We retain your store data for as long as your Customfly account is active. If you uninstall the app, we retain your data for 30 days to allow reinstallation without loss of configuration. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted from our systems upon request.

Order-related design files are retained as long as necessary to support order fulfillment and merchant record-keeping.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect data stored in our systems. Access to merchant data is restricted to authenticated requests using Shopify session tokens or verified API keys.

7. Your Rights

As a merchant or end user, you have the right to:

• Request access to the data we hold about your store
• Request deletion of your store's data by contacting us
• Uninstall the app at any time through your Shopify admin
